Harvard University
Candidate for Executive Council Graduate Student Representative (2026-28)
Candidate statement

I am a second-year PhD student in Harvard University’s Committee on the Study of Religion. Over the last two years, the ACHA has quickly become one of my most valued professional communities, and I would be delighted to serve as the next ACHA Graduate Student Representative. I attended my first ACHA Annual Meeting in New York City last year. There, I was fortunate to present and connect with colleagues with shared interests in the history of American Catholicism, Catholic women religious, religion in film and visual culture, and more. Since then, I have been grateful for the ongoing support I have received from faculty and fellow students who I met through the ACHA. Now, I look forward to the opportunity to give back.
As a member of the Executive Council, I would prioritize cultivating a strong community among graduate students and unlocking new opportunities for young scholars. There are several areas for which I hope to strengthen support systems, such as the job market, fellowship opportunities, research and conference funding, publishing, and making lasting professional connections. My background in experience design, interdisciplinary studies, and positive organizational development will allow me to assist in these areas and bring a unique skillset to the Executive Council. I look forward to the opportunity to represent the dynamic ACHA graduate student community, and to contribute to the thriving ACHA organization at large. Thank you for your vote and for entrusting me with this important and exciting role.
