What it is:

A cash grant awarded to a graduate student presenting at the 2026 Annual Meeting in Chicago to assist with travel expenses.

Who is eligible:

Any ACHA student member presenting at the 2026 Annual Meeting.

Awarded:

Annually. (Also awarded for the Spring Meeting.)

Purse:

$1,500 per recipient

Number of grants available:

Two

Submission instructions:

Complete the application form and have a letter of recommendation submitted via our letter of recommendation submission form.

Submission deadline: October 1, 2025

About the Presidential Travel Grant

The Presidential Graduate Student Travel Grant is awarded annually to a member presenting at the Annual or Spring Meetings. The grant is intended to offset travel expenses for the student. Any ACHA Student Member enrolled in a graduate program of study is eligible to apply.

Submission Rules

The general rules for submission are:

  1. The applicant must be an ACHA member in good standing.
  2. The applicant must be presenting at the Annual or Spring Meeting.
  3. The applicant must be enrolled in a graduate program of study.
  4. A letter of recommendation is required. The letter-writer must submit the letter themselves using this online form.
