Shea Prize Submissions
The John Gilmary Shea Prize is given annually to the author of a book, published during a preceding twelve-month period, which is judged by a committee of experts to have made the most original and distinguished contribution to knowledge of the history of the Catholic Church. Submission deadline: July 1, 2020
To enter a book, you must:
- Complete the submission form below;
- Send three hard copies of the book to the judges on the prize committee via postal mail:

You may apply for the Shea Prize before we announce the chair. Please check back often so that you will know whom to mail the third copy of your book to.
