Mount St. Mary’s University is grateful for the tremendous interest in the 2018 Spring Meeting of the American Catholic Historical Association, which we host on our campus in Emmitsburg, Maryland from April 12-14, 2018.
We are pleased to announce a schedule that includes a plenary address on the life of Elizabeth Seton by Dr. Catherine O’Donnell of Arizona State University, a luncheon featuring Mount Seminary Professor Fr. Michael Roach, a conference mass by Archbishop William Lori, excursions to regional historical sites, and twenty-three scholarly panels and roundtables.
The conference begins with an opening reception on the evening of Thursday, April 12. The first session starts promptly at 9:00 AM on Friday, April 13. The conference concludes in late afternoon on Saturday, April 14.
Graduate Students are especially invited to register. Two (2) ACHA Presidential Grants are available to support travel to the conference and twenty (20) grants are available to support lodging. The deadline to apply for these student travel grants is March 15. More information is available on the ACHA awards page.
