In an effort to provide more services and benefits to the members of the ACHA, the Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the ACHA is pleased to announce the following Grant opportunities for 2014:
Funding will be awarded on a competitive basis to individuals and institutions that promote the mission of the American Catholic Historical Association: scholarly pursuit of the study of Catholicism. All those competing for ACHA grants must be a member at the time he/she applies and remain a member-in-good-standing through the duration of the grant.
For both categories, a maximum of $1000 in grant dollars is available.

The Junior Faculty Grant will be awarded to an ACHA tenure track scholar to assist in summer travel to conduct research. The deadline for applying for a grant is February 27, 2014. Notification of awards will be no later than March 31, 2014. Please send applications to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Graduate Student Summer Research Grant will be awarded to an ACHA graduate student member who is ABD and attending an accredited institution of higher learning. The deadline for applying for a grant is January 31, 2014. Notification of awards will be no later than April 30, 2014. Please send applications to email@example.com.
Receiving the funding
Once awarded, recipients will receive half the funding before the travel or event takes place. The other half of the grant will be awarded upon submission of an after action report, suitable for publication on the ACHA web site, detailing one’s research or sponsored event. In all cases, acknowledgment of ACHA funding is expected.
